Biography

Hossam Sorour is a music composer and programmer born in Cairo 1965, started composing and sound design in 1985 with early computer models like Yamaha CX5M and Atari St.
He was one of the first to use computer sequencing software like Steinberg Pro12 and Pro24 (grandfather of Cubase).
Hossam helped many studios to adapt the digital technology in music production; he also trained many sound engineers and composers.
His music focused on TV commercials and sound tracks for documentaries.
In 2005 he started his software company called “Human Touch Technology” and created Darbukator series and Sika Oriental Scale used by many musicians around the world.
Now he is developing sound libraries for Kontakt Sampler and Ableton Live, Making music and remixes (mostly for fun) and teaching music technology.
